The Building Champions Gala is a powerful and heartwarming evening, including an excellent silent auction, and a delicious dinner. In one night, an incredible impact is made as we come together to support the precious boys and girls of our inner-cities.

Your support is an investment in the lives of thousands of children living in the underprivileged neighborhoods of Detroit and Pontiac.

It’s summer, and there is no better time for a party in the Gardens. So come over to kick back and enjoy a night of stellar live music, local artists, delish food, fun and libations, all in a beautiful garden setting. 

Tickets are $5, general admission on the Great Lawn. A limited number of chairs are provided, but it is recommended you bring your lawn chairs. Blankets are welcome.   Regular and adult beverages are available for sale,  as well as scrumptious food menu items from pop-up restaurants.  All shows are rain or shine, but if extreme weather is forecast, the show may move to covered facility. The Terrace is wheelchair accessible.

LL7 is excited to come for the first time to Jazz & Blues @ the Library! It is a monthly live music concert series featuring the very best local area jazz and blues music artists, since 2005.

The series is produced by Don McGhee, board member of the Friends of the Southfield Public Library. It is sponsored by the Friends, a dynamic volunteer group that provides funds to support a variety of library programs, collections, services and events. The Detroit Blues Society is a secondary sponsor.

The Tipping Point Theatre, which only seats between 105 and 120, is perfect for live jazz. The acoustics are great, and there are no bad seats or obstructed views.
